The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the date sheet/routine for the board exam 2024. Students of class 12 from the WBCHSE Board were eagerly waiting for the date sheet to be released as it is an essential document for any student preparing seriously for the board exam.
Students can use this routine to properly plan and schedule their preparation. They can see how much time they need to give to a particular subject depending on the dates of the exam of that particular subject. More detailed strategy is given below.
As per the official date sheet released by WBCHSE, the exam is scheduled to begin on 16th February 2024 and will end on 29th February 2024.
Important Instructions for WBCHSE HS Exam 2024
- The duration of the exam will be of 3 hours.
- The exam will begin at 12 noon and will end at 3:15 p.m.

Tips for Students of WBCHSE Class 12
The WBCHSE Class 12 routine for the Arts stream looks quite daunting. The three main subjects viz. History, Political Science, and Geography are placed at the end without a day gap. It means you need it prepare these three subjects much before the board exam as you will not be able to do much on the last day. It is advised that you prepare these subjects in such a way that you will write these exams on a single day. By this, your mind will be trained to believe this and try to remember all concepts and theories.
Similarly, patterns are observed in Commerce and Science Streams as well. There is not a single-day gap between the Economics and Accountancy exams, which simply means you have to put special focus on these two subjects, particularly Accountancy. Prepare everything before the scheduled board exams as leaving any topic for the last day would most probably remain unprepared. And do not panic the day before the Accountancy exam. Keep calm and just revise the topics you have already studied. NEVER touch any new topic on the day before the board exam.
There is some relief for the science students as the routine provides a fair amount of time between the main subjects. But this does not mean that you will leave these subjects for the last days. Remember, these are science subjects that require the use of both concepts and memorization power. So you need to prepare these subjects before the start of the board exams.
Some tips to boost your studies are:
- Syllabus: Stick to the latest syllabus. Do not study anything extra at this point of time.
- Text Books: Focus on the prescribed textbooks recommended by the Board. Do not purchase any new books at this time and get yourself confused. Remember this rule, "Study one book ten times rather than 10 books one time."
- Questions Pattern: Download and study the question paper pattern of the WBCHSE Class 12 Board exam.
- Study Schedule: Make a study timetable and follow it rigorously. Do not break it.
- Stary hydrated.
- Do some breathing exercises to enhance your brain power.
- Get proper sleep.
- Eat healthy.
